MAINTENANCE OF SENIOR CITIZENS HOME, NAGAON
The Sadau Asom Gramya Puthibharal Santha Has been running the senior Citizen Home Since 2001 sponsored by Ministry Of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, As per guideline 25 Nos. of Older Person are admitted in the home every years, those who unable to survive the healthy life with the family as well as helpless persons. Moreover Santha allow to stay in the home specially who unable to stay in their own houses, due to family burden, family dispute , lack of food , maintenance of good health properly and deprivation of the society etc. during this financial year 19 Nos. of Female and 6 Nos. of Male are staying in the home. Among the said inmates 13 Nos. of female have crossed 75 years and 12 Nos. of inmates already crossed 80 years. During staying in the home all the inmates used to avail all local and regional festivals like Bihu, Durga puja, Shivarati, Saraswati puja, Holi, Independence day and Republic day, International Senior Citizen Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Women Day , World AIDS day etc. Since inception of the home total 6325 Nos. of inmates are benefitted by the home those who came from various parts of the state .The necessary nutritious foods provided to inmates as per menu .The regular health check-up programme are conducted among the inmates. The recreational facilities, excursion, literacy classes, counseling programme, reading materials are organized . Book & Magazine, daily and weekly Newspaper are also provided to the inmates. MAINTENANCE OF SENIOR CITIZENS HOME, TINSUKIA (OLD AGE HOME) Santha has running the another Senior Citizen Home from own resources in the year of 2018-19. It is also mention that Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India has accord to the sanction only one home at Tinsukia district for 50 Nos. of elderly women in the year of 2020-21. Vide sanction letter No. 15-2(9)/2020-21-Sr.C.I Dated15/04/2021. As per sanctioned Santha has running the home smoothly and maintain all terms and conditions. Necessary food, health checkup, recreational facilities provided to inmates of the Home. During staying in the home all the inmates are celebration all local and regional festivals like Bihu, Durga Puja, Shivaratri, Saraswati Puja, Holi, Independence Day and Republic day, International Senior Citizen Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Yoga Day, Women Day, World AIDS day etc. Since inception of the home total 150 Nos. of elderly women inmates are benefitted by the home those who came from various parts of the district. The necessary nutritious foods provided to inmates as per menu .The regular health check-up programme are conducted among the inmates. The recreational facilities, excursion, literacy classes, counseling programme, reading materials are organized. Book & Magazine, daily and weekly Newspaper are also provided to the inmates.
